Privacy Policy

This policy explains what pricehistoryapp.in (the website of PriceHistoryApp, “we”) stores about you, why, who helps us run the service, and how you can delete your account. Your PriceHistoryApp account is shared by the website, the PriceHistoryApp mobile app and the PriceHistoryApp browser extension.

What we store

Your account

• Email address: needed to sign in and to send you sign-in codes and price drop alerts.
• Optional profile details: your name, mobile number and PIN code, only if you add them.
• Settings: whether email alerts are on, the deal categories you pick, the date you joined and your last sign-in.

What you do with your account

• Price trackers: the products you track, your target prices, whether alerts are on and when each tracker ends.
• Wishlist: the products you save and their price when you added them.
• Notifications: the price drop alerts we sent you and whether you opened them.
• Telegram: if you connect Telegram in the app, the name and username of the connected Telegram account, so we can send alerts there.

Sign-in and security

• Sign-in codes: when you ask for a code (to sign in or to delete your account) we store your email address, the code, when it was sent and the number of attempts. A code expires after 10 minutes.
• Sign-ins: for each sign-in on the website, in the app or in the extension we keep the browser or device description that it sends, the IP address, the approximate location of that IP address, and when you signed in and were last active.
• Request limits: IP addresses and email addresses are used for a short time to limit repeated requests and stop abuse.

Sign in with Google

If you choose “Sign in with Google”, Google sends us a signed confirmation containing your email address and name. We use them to find or create your account and nothing else. We never see your Google password and get no other access to your Google account. The Google sign-in button is loaded from accounts.google.com on the sign-in page only, and Google's own privacy policy applies to it.

Cookies and browser storage

The website sets no cookies of its own. To keep you signed in, it keeps your sign-in tokens (a long-lived one and a short-lived one that is renewed automatically), your account id, email address and name in your browser's local storage for pricehistoryapp.in, under ph_session. The tokens are sent only to the PriceHistoryApp API, and all of it is removed when you sign out.

We use no advertising or analytics cookies and there are no ads or third-party trackers on this website. The website may keep a one-time message in your browser's session storage (for example after you sign out); it never leaves your device.

How we use your information

• To sign you in and keep your trackers, wishlist and alerts in sync across the app, the extension and the website.
• To check the prices of the products you track and send the alerts you asked for, by email, on Telegram or as an app notification.
• To send sign-in and account deletion codes.
• To protect the service from abuse and keep your account secure.
• To answer you when you contact us.

We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it to show you ads.

Who helps us run the service

• Cloudflare: all traffic to pricehistoryapp.in passes through Cloudflare, which protects the website, keeps sign-in secure and caches public pages. Cloudflare processes technical data such as IP addresses to do this.
• ZeptoMail (by Zoho): sends our emails, such as sign-in codes and price drop alerts.
• Google: only if you use Sign in with Google.
• Telegram: only if you connect Telegram in the app, to deliver alerts there.
• Our hosting providers: store the data on our servers.

We may also share information if the law requires it or to protect our users and the service.

Store links and pricehistory.app

“Buy” links take you to the store (Amazon, Flipkart, Croma). Some are affiliate links, and the store's own privacy policy applies on its website. “View price history” links take you to pricehistory.app, our price history website, which has its own privacy policy.

How long we keep it

Your account data is kept while your account exists. Sign-in codes expire after 10 minutes, and a sign-in ends when you sign out or after a period without use.

Your choices

• Edit your name, mobile number and PIN code and choose deal categories on your account page.
• Turn email alerts on or off and manage Telegram on the alert settings page.
• Delete your account on your account page (we email you a confirmation code) or in the PriceHistoryApp mobile app. Deleting your account removes your trackers and wishlist, stops all alerts and signs you out everywhere.
• To get a copy of your data or to have it erased completely, email info@pricehistory.app from the email address of your account.

Security

The website is served only over HTTPS, and your sign-in tokens are signed and encrypted and kept only in your browser. Sign out on shared computers. No system is perfectly secure, so please tell us at once if you notice anything unusual with your account.

Children

PriceHistoryApp is not meant for children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update this page and the date at the top. If a change is important, we will also tell you by email or in the app.
